Planning your first trip to Vietnam is exciting — and, if we’re honest, a little overwhelming. Visas, a SIM that actually works, what to do if you feel unwell far from home, how to ask for help when you don’t speak the language. These are the small, quiet worries that can take the shine off a wonderful journey.
So we made something to take those worries off your shoulders: a free, 14-page Vietnam Safe Travel Handbook you can read online or download and fill in as you plan. You can start reading it right here on this page — no sign-up needed.
What’s inside the handbook
This isn’t a glossy brochure. It’s a practical, fill-in pocket guide built from real questions real travellers have asked us over the years. Inside you’ll find:
- A before-you-travel checklist — visa, travel insurance, an eSIM that works on arrival, and the emergency numbers worth saving before you fly.
- Fill-in trip, hotel and transport planners — one calm place to keep your whole itinerary as you book.
- An expense planner — so you always know where your money is going.
- Warning signs and what to do in an emergency — simple, calm guidance for the moments you hope you’ll never need.
- 13 essential Vietnamese phrases — with easy pronunciation, so you can always ask for help, directions or a doctor.
- Bonus: a hospital-day flow and medical-document checklist — for guests who are combining their trip with a dental visit, a health check-up or other care.

Who’s behind this handbook
I’m Nguyen Thi Viet Ha, founder of Holi Wellness Travel — part of our family travel company, HOLIGROUP, a licensed international tour operator running since 2013. My own background isn’t medicine; it’s numbers and law. For years I watched international guests make big decisions about a trip to Vietnam with far too little clarity — and I couldn’t unsee it.
So I built Holi on one belief: on a trip abroad, nothing important should be left to chance. That’s why we put together this handbook, and why, if you ever need a hand, there’s a real, English-speaking person on our side ready to help — from your first question to your flight home.
Enjoy Vietnam. And travel safe.
Warm regards,
